About Knights of Columbus Council 14730

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney.

Today, it has over 1.9 million members and more than 15,000 councils in countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, and the Dominican Republic.

They are known as “the strong right arm of the Church” for their unwavering support of evangelization, missions, and philanthropy.

Their charitable impact is remarkable: in 2005 alone, they donated $136 million to charity and performed over 63 million hours of volunteer service.

Our Local Impact

Community Service and Fundraising:

We serve our parish and community by fundraising events, principally our annual Casino Night and by direct volunteering in multiple events throughout the year.

Pro-Life Advocacy:

We maintain a firm commitment to defending life at all stages, from conception to natural death. We support programs like Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP), providing vital help to mothers and babies.

Family And Social Events:

We organize social gatherings for our members and their families, and parishioners fostering camaraderie and community spirit. This includes an annual spring picnic memory of our Charter Grand Knight Jim Buzzella, St Patrick’s Day / Cinco De Mayo events and, since 2024: Breakfast With Santa!

Spiritual Growth And Faith Formation:

We offer meaningful opportunities for our members to deepen their faith, communal rosaries, and faith formation programs that strengthen our spiritual journey.

Membership Dues & Information

In accordance with the structure of the Knights of Columbus, local councils, such as ours, pay annual fees to the state, and supreme organizations, based on the TOTAL number of members in our council, not just those who are current with their dues.
